Face should occupy 70-80% of the photo height (approximately 28-32mm)

Neutral expression with mouth closed, both eyes open and visible

How to prepare

Sort these before your appointment and the photo passes first time.

  • Wrong dimensions — Photo must be exactly 30x40mm (3x4 cm), not the standard 35x45mm passport size
  • Incorrect background — Background must be plain white with no shadows, patterns, or gradients
  • Glasses causing glare — Remove glasses or ensure they don't obscure eyes or create reflections
  • Head covering violation — Head coverings only allowed for documented religious or medical reasons
  • Face not centered — Face must be centered and looking directly at the camera
  • Expression not neutral — Smiling, frowning, or open mouth will cause rejection
