Head height
Face should occupy 70-80% of the photo height (approximately 28-32mm)
Expression
Neutral expression with mouth closed, both eyes open and visible
Glasses
Not allowed
Recency
Taken within the last 6 months
How to prepare
Sort these before your appointment and the photo passes first time.
- Wrong dimensions — Photo must be exactly 30x40mm (3x4 cm), not the standard 35x45mm passport size
- Incorrect background — Background must be plain white with no shadows, patterns, or gradients
- Glasses causing glare — Remove glasses or ensure they don't obscure eyes or create reflections
- Head covering violation — Head coverings only allowed for documented religious or medical reasons
- Face not centered — Face must be centered and looking directly at the camera
- Expression not neutral — Smiling, frowning, or open mouth will cause rejection
