How to prepare
Sort these before your appointment and the photo passes first time.
- Wrong photo size — Estonian driving licence requires 40x50mm, not the common 35x45mm used in many other countries
- Face too small — Your face must cover 70–80% of the photo height from chin to top of head
- Glare on glasses — If wearing glasses, lenses must be free of reflections and frames must not cover the eyes
- Non-neutral expression — Smiling, frowning, or open mouth will cause rejection; keep a neutral expression
- Busy or coloured background — Background must be light and single-colour (white or light grey), with no patterns or objects
- Head tilted or turned — Face must be straight-on and centred, with eyes level and looking directly at the camera
