How to prepare
Sort these before your appointment and the photo passes first time.
- Wearing glasses or sunglasses — No glasses of any kind are allowed in Ecuador cédula photos, including prescription glasses and contact lenses
- Face or ears partially covered — Hair, accessories, or head coverings must not obscure any part of the face or ears
- Non-white background — The background must be plain white with no shadows, textures, or patterns
- Excessive jewelry or piercings — Piercings, diadems, and oversized earrings (exceeding 20% of ear size) are not permitted
- White or light-colored clothing — Wearing white creates no contrast with the required white background
- Shadows on face or background — The photo must be evenly lit without shadows obscuring facial features
- Photo not recent — The photo must reflect your current appearance, taken within the last 6 months
