How to prepare

Sort these before your appointment and the photo passes first time.

  • Wearing glasses — Glasses are not allowed unless they do not obscure or distort facial features
  • Ears not visible — Long hair must be pulled back to show ears clearly
  • Wrong background — Background must be plain white with no shadows or patterns
  • Facial features obscured — Face and eyes must be clearly visible and distinguishable
  • Smiling or wrong expression — Must have neutral expression with mouth closed
  • Photo too old — Must be a recent photograph showing current appearance
