How to prepare
Sort these before your appointment and the photo passes first time.
- Wrong background color — Background must be plain white with no patterns, shadows, or reflections
- Photo too old — Must be taken within the last 6 months showing your current appearance
- Face not fully visible — Your face must be visible from forehead to chin with no obstructions
- Incorrect expression — You cannot frown, raise eyebrows, or have any expression other than neutral
- Wearing non-prescription glasses — Glasses are only allowed with a medical certificate (certificat médical)
- Head covering creating shadows — Religious head coverings are allowed but must not cast shadows on your face
