How to prepare
Sort these before your appointment and the photo passes first time.
- Glasses causing reflections — Remove glasses to avoid glare, reflections, or frames obscuring eyes
- Wrong face size — Face must measure between 25mm and 35mm from chin to top of head
- Background not uniform — Background must be a uniform light colour with no shadows, patterns, or gradations
- Photo too old — Must be taken within the last 6 months showing current appearance
- Face partially obscured — Hair, accessories, or headwear blocking eyes, eyebrows, or facial features
- Shadows on face or background — Even lighting required with no shadows anywhere in photo
